Finding your perfect Dog
This is a fantastic service that saves so much time and money! Not to mention the frustration and sadness that comes with potentially having to re-home a dog because it doesn’t fit in with the household or owner. Worse yet, the dog doesn’t get re-adopted, and there’s a chance it could be put down. Or buying a dog that may have to be put down because of bad breeding (inbreeding) or contaminated genetic lines (major health issues passed down through generations) after spending lots of money trying to fix these problems that you were never aware of.
Unfortunately, we see the tail end of this because most people don’t do (or know about) this option before getting a dog, resulting in having to pay more for dog training, behavior problems, Dog aggression and dog reactivity training and large vet bills. I see this all the time unfortunately, whether it is a rescue, rehoming, or even an expensive breeder. They won’t tell the truth about behavioral problems or incidents because they are afraid if they did, no one may take the dog. It doesn’t matter; we can always fix problems with dog training anyways, and they should know this and just be honest with the new dog parent.
Getting a dog is like getting another family member; they are going to be with us all the time and for a very long time. Households change as well, they can go from single, to married, to children etc. That’s why buying a dog requires careful consideration to find the perfect fit for the owner, household, and future as well before we spend lots of money, time, frustration, sadness, and guilt. EXCELLENT Based on 73 reviews Posted on Google Cori KeatingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So impressed with Ryan and the wealth of information he has. I’ve had dogs all my life, but not one like Pepper and I learnt so much new info to build a better relationship with my Pepper. I thought before calling Ryan my issues with my high strung Aussie Doodle were not serious enough for a dog trainer. She’s not aggressive, just reactive and I could deal with it. But Ryan validated my concerns and seemed to know exactly what training Pepper and I (mostly) need to build a better life long connection. Thanks Ryan!! I’ll definitely be calling back for the next leg of learning.Posted on Google Vasilica WattsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ryan has been patient and friendly, explaining the psychology behind why helping the dog the way we were trying to may not work. We have had our three year old Texan rescue for about six months now and have used Ryan on and off to support in our home and with my in laws as well, since the first week we got him. We had a very scared rescue prior and wish we knew about Ryan back then. Working through his suggestions, we have seen huge improvements and are grateful.Posted on Google Elizabeth HaidTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What an amazing experience! Ryan is clear, concise and an amazing teacher! Our Zoey changed overnight with his knowledge of behaviour and feeding! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for some training! We would not go anywhere else!Posted on Google Kristine ThiessenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ryan was fantastic with helping our puppy deal with his fears. He got our puppy to trust him within 15 minutes of being here. He gave us some great tips that we will be putting to use asap. We definitely will be using Ryan in the future for any issues with twix. Thank you so much Ryan!!Posted on Google EmmanuelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Ryan upon an incident that made it clear I had already waited too long. Just after the first session, the difference in my dogs behaviour walking and around strangers improved dramatically. Since our first meeting, continually applying what Ryan told me, it has become so apparent how trainable my dog actually is despite my previous views due to my own mistakes/misunderstandings. Cannot recommend Ryan enough, I will continue with him even when I feel I’ve hit “ that point “ with my pups just to make sure my upkeep doesn’t slide. Trust Ryan, he is beyond friendly, a true dog lover at heart and more knowledgeable than google ( which is hard to accomplish considering the infinite amount of “ knowledge “ that google holds )Posted on Google Jessie KeithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Oh my goodness, blessings to Canine United for helping us with our new 10 week old lab puppy! Ryan was absolutely fantastic and he taught us so much that we didn’t know! So much of what we were reading on the internet was leading us down the wrong path of training, specifically with nipping and biting. We were getting to a breaking point with the biting puppy phase and Ryan gave us the best advice and after only THREE days, our puppy is now so much better. A sincere thank you to Ryan and I’d recommend his services to anybody with a new puppy!Posted on Google AndrewTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't recommend Canine United enough. Extremely professional and knowledgeable, helped nip all our puppies behavioral issues in the bud. Also teaches a lot of tips and tricks for everyday dog life. I always initial had some doubt how easy Ryan made corrections sound, but what he's able to show and teach seems like a miracle.Posted on Google Tim LittleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. our newly adopted dog was a nightmare to walk (ever try waterskiing?) after one session with Ryan our dog walks like a show dog, highly recommended. sorry we missed to give you a tip, next session

Answer: Breeds like Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are often great with kids due to their gentle and patient nature. However, temperament varies, so evaluating individual dogs is essential.
Answer: It depends on your lifestyle. Puppies require more time for training and socialization, while adult dogs may already have basic training and established personalities.
Answer: Look for breeders who provide health clearances, allow you to meet the puppy’s parents, and ask you questions to ensure you’re a responsible owner. Avoid breeders who prioritize profit over the dog’s well-being.
Answer: You’ll need essentials like food, water bowls, a comfortable bed, toys, a crate, and grooming supplies. Puppy-proofing your home is also important.
Answer: Observe how the dog reacts to people and situations. A calm, curious, and friendly dog is often a good match, but a professional temperament assessment can help ensure compatibility.
